This was my entry into this years, International Freeform and Fiber Arts challenge. The theme was patterns in nature. I chose to do Cross Sections. you will see dragon fruit, kiwi, oranges and lemons, surrounded by lots of needle and crocheted lace sections that represent all the interesting and beautiful microscopic patterns from nature that we can now see online. The colors i chose are in honor of my grandmother who taught me to crochet. More pictures are available on their website and it has been published in their 2017 book. http://freeformfiberart.blogspot.com/p/2017.html
Wow I can not believe I let a year go by let alone a year and a half between posts. Life just got in the way I suppose, but I will endeavor to do better. For today, i am just going to add a short tatting tutorial. I do have many ideas for my next posts.
I hope you all will bear with me while I get things written and posted. I have lots of photos to add to the gallery, and ideas for new projects.
I have had such a busy end of the year. Too many things to mention them all. I have a lot of thoughts on what I want to accomplish this year. First we wait for a new garage to be built. I have been wanting to carve, and have a lovely burl, all dry and waiting for me to play with. There are baskets to be made and thread and yarn to play with. So many things I want to do and make. Perhaps its time to consider making a storefront online somewhere before the house overflows. I have hesitated somewhat as I am afraid it will make it too much like work.
